Slovak hockey player Šimon Nemec made a significant contribution to Utica’s 5:1 victory over Syracuse on Thursday night in the overseas AHL.

He scored a goal and two assists in the match and was named the second star of the match.

The 20-year-old defenseman had the best individual match of the current season, in addition to three Canadian points, he also scored three pluses.

In 20 duels this year, he collected three goals and eight assists. Two other Slovaks also gained a point.

Martin Chromiak contributed an assist to Ontario’s 2-1 overtime win over Henderson. Pavol Regenda also scored an assist as San Diego defeated Iowa 5:1.
