L’Australian Open it is the first tournament of Grande Slam Atp of 2024. We play at Melbourne in Australia, from 12 to 26 January. At stake are huge points for the ATP ranking and above all a prize money monstrous of 58 million euros: the winner will take home over 2.1 million dollars. Even just being eliminated in the first round entitles you to an 80 thousand dollar token! The 113th edition of the tournament is played on cement. All the best tennis players of the moment are there. Jannik Sinner, defending champion, is number 1 on the scoreboard; number 2 is the German Zverev, 3 the Spanish Alcaraz and 4 the American Fritz. The finalist defeated last year, the Russian Medvedev, is seeded number 5, while Nole Djokovic, who has triumphed here 10 times, is relegated to number 7. Italy has brought a very large team to Melbourne: in addition to Sinner there are Musetti (seeded number 16), Cobolli (number 32), Berrettini, Arnaldi, Sonego, Fognini, Darderi, Nardi, Gigante from qualifications and Passaro lucky loser.
