Automatic creation of schemes leads to the goal faster and with fewer errors. Eplan, the solution provider, has developed various options and procedures for this process. One of the tools is the cloud-based eBuild software, which allows users to create their projects simply by clicking the mouse.
The new version 2025 is now available – with significant improvements in ease of use, operation, configuration and schematic creation.
Automatic creation of schemas is nothing new. However, the way this happens is becoming more and more innovative, and one thing is clear – the cloud has become indispensable in this process. Eplan’s eBuild software, which is fully integrated into the EPLAN Cloud environment, is now even simpler and easier to use. The new version 2025, which is already available, impresses with a number of improvements for even more efficient use of macros in engineering work.
“We have developed a solution that is easy to use, but at the same time very innovative in terms of its functions. Inline’s contextual support app delivers faster results to users. The new help function, which is directly integrated into the eBuild system, makes it even easier to use.” Holger Jansen |
Use in the cloud – even easier and now with context support
The user interface has been optimized so that users can easily and quickly get a perfect overview of the project. For example, thanks to the new Navigator panel, eBuild users can constantly monitor the progress of configuration and schematic creation. And that’s not all there is to the new technology. Inline’s contextual support app delivers faster results to users. The new help function, which is directly integrated into the eBuild system, makes it even easier to use.
How it works
The procedure is very simple. Users simply log into the EPLAN Cloud environment and can access their own projects through their corporate cloud access. There is no need to install any software for this. In the Project Builder – part of the EPLAN eBuild application – the relevant macro libraries can be selected and then the entire project can be configured and schematics generated. The new Navigator supports users in this area by simplifying the selection process. By following guidelines and standards, the system also ensures data consistency from start to finish – from the design of the structure to the actual implementation of the project.
Configuration in the cloud means a faster and easier path to results
A set of rules and configuration interfaces can be created intuitively and quickly without knowledge of advanced programming languages - knowledge of EPLAN macros is sufficient. These EPLAN macros are then supplemented with a set of rules in the eBuild system. Users further use this configuration method to enter client requirements for a machine or device system. New in eBuild 2025 is the possibility of configuration from a web browser in Windows, Android or iOS. Nothing prevents the use of the eBuild system as an engineering configurator, even on mobile devices.
Creating schemas in the cloud expands the possibilities of collaboration
Both configuration and schematic generation in the eBuild 2025 system are fully cloud-based, which means that a local installation of EPLAN software is no longer necessary. Schematics can be generated directly in the cloud via EPLAN Project on the eManage platform. Using eView, EPLAN’s proprietary cloud viewer, projects and documentation can be viewed on any device – whether on a tablet, smartphone or computer browser, and of course it works on both iOS and Android. Here, schematics can be checked and changes can be pushed back into the project using the browser’s redlining and greenlining functions.
In conclusion
With the EPLAN eBuild application in the cloud, it is now possible to create diagrams from any internet browser. The advantages are obvious – schemes can be created not only in the design and construction process, but they can also be made available much earlier with one click of the mouse, e.g. during the tender process or in the preliminary planning phase of the project.
