Automotive News: Nissan May Discontinue Production of Altima and Versa Sedans

According to Automotive NewsThe 2025 model year will be the last for the Nissan Versa, which starts at just $16,680 in the U.S. — $4,500 less than the Nissan Sentra.

The second to go into the sunset could be the Nissan Altima, for which the 2026 model year will be its last. In the case of the Altima, there is a caveat: Nissan has not decided on investing in the next-generation model, because sales of the car are still not that bad. In 2023, 128,030 sedans were sold. If they decide to keep the sedan, then in the next generation it will most likely be a hybrid.

A company spokesman noted that sedans are an important part of Nissan’s business strategy “as they provide advantages in a number of areas, including cost of ownership.”
