Axis Communications: Tobias Metsch ist Regional Director Middle Europe

Philippe Kubbinga, who has held the position since October 2020, will remain on board as Strategic Advisor until the end of January 2025 and then retire. As part of his overall responsibility, Tobias Metsch will also manage the German branch as managing director.

Metsch has more than 20 years of international industry experience in the lighting industry. Before starting at Axis, he worked as Head of Marketing Western Europe (B2C and B2B) as well as Sales Manager Trade DACH and Managing Director Austria at LEDVANCE GmbH. He started his career at OSRAM GmbH, where, among other things, he managed the branches in Nairobi and Dubai as regional manager for Middle East & Africa until 2015. His main focus was on establishing and expanding B2B business via distribution and channel as well as on the sustainable and long-term development of partnerships in developing and growth markets.
