The Community of Madrid has launched new initiatives to, through fundraising events, allocate funds to those affected by DANA in Valencia. This was announced on X (formerly Twitter) by the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. It involves a popular race, a bullfight (both on December 1) and two charity performances at the Teatros del Canal.
The bullfight will take place at the Vistalegre Palace at 5:00 p.m. Qualified in the Bacantix ticket purchasing website as a “charity festival”has a price between 15 and 120 euros per location. Enrique Ponce, Alejandro Talavente and Andrés Roca Rey lead the day’s lineup.
The popular race will be that same Sunday, December 1 at 9:00 with the title Madrid runs for Madrid. The delivery of t-shirts and numbers will be located at the Mapome Run Center (Aniceto Marinas Street, 52), on Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The price of the bib number for each of the modalities is 12.60 euros. A number 0 number is also available for anyone who wants to donate despite not participating, with a minimum amount of 10 euros. Registrations are made in this link.
There will be three modalities: 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers and a 2-kilometer family walk (this one starting at 10:45), all starting and finishing at Paseo de Recoletos. After traveling along Paseo de la Castellana, the arrivals will be in Plaza de Castilla or Nuevos Ministerios, depending on the type of race.
100% of the proceeds will go to the solidarity account of the Generalitat Valenciana created for the repair of damage and reconstruction of the areas most affected by DANA, or to the NGOs Cruz Roja and Cártias (the choice between the three options is of the participant himself).
On the other hand, the Teatros del Canal (dependent on the regional government) also join this initiative and will donate to the Generalitat Valenciana the collection of almost 20,000 euros corresponding to the two performances on November 29 and 30, Wedding day at the Cromagnonsa piece by Wajdi Mouawad that presents the Autumn Festival and whose tickets are already sold out.
