Fashion shop BackYard presented a new brand pop-up store YBA a MESSA. Even well-known personalities came to admire the original fashion and jewelry.
They were among them actress Andrea Růžičková together with husband musician Mikoláš Růžičkabut also
Michaela Maurerová and Jana Plodková. All these personalities are united by a love for local creation. The Prague BackYard is a place for everyone who is looking for quality and individuality in fashion.
It’s been exactly a year since a group of talented designers opened a design store under the name BackYard in an exposed location in the center of Prague. It is a unique space with four shop windows, the essence of which is a shared showroom with workshops where designs are created and sold.
A creative space showcasing a range of fashion designers, jewelers and other artists who support each other, that is BackYard. The store is based on the local creation of designers who care about sustainability and ecological production and who bring quality and long-term value to the current world of fast fashion.
Designers also take turns behind the cash register here, so it can easily happen that you buy your chosen piece from the manufacturer in person. If you want a custom-made model, there is a pleasant place to sit with a coffee or a glass of wine, where you can talk to the designers.
“BackYard was created from our joint savings and thanks to a campaign on Hit-hit. We believe that we have created a place where everyone can find something for themselves, and if not, we will at least offer good coffee.” she smiles

Actress and photographer Andrea Růžičková is a fan of local art and actively supports her favorite artists. “Our wedding rings are from jeweler Nastassia Aleinikava of BackYard and we also both love tracksuit bottoms from Appart Label,” they revealed Mr. and Mrs. Růžiček.
“I like original, but minimalistic models, and I was impressed by the designer Zdeňka Imreczeová at BackYard,” she confided
actress Jana Plodková. “I choose fashion that underlines the feminine line and I look for sophistication in the details, that’s why I chose a shirt dress by JJ Jaroslava Jindráková. I recently looked for a high-quality sewing machine, so I create it myself. Who knows, maybe I’ll have my own models one day right in the BackYard,” the actress smiles

- The popular Appart Label designs stylish tracksuits for every occasion.
- Mayda emphasizes traditional craftsmanship and contemporary printing technology on its fashion pieces.
- JJ Jaroslava Jindráková is characterized by minimalism in the same way as Zdeňka Imreczeová.
- Denim jackets made from recycled jeans are produced by Restore by Acarin. Here you can buy original jewelry from: Kristýna Malováná, Blueberries, Nastasia Aleinikava and Kateřina Matěchová.
