Bang & Olufsen and Riva announce the launch of special editions of Beosound speakers

One of the world’s most famous boatbuilding brands and one of the leading luxury audio brands launches a new range of nautically recreated products to provide a soundtrack to every voyage at sea. The partnership between Riva and Bang & Olufsen thus aims to celebrate craftsmanship, design and innovation, bringing a new sensory experience through two innovative products from the sound system range: the Beosound A5 and Beosound 2 speakers in Riva editions.

Located at the point of convergence between Danish craftsmanship and Italian know-how, the Beosound A5 and Beosound 2 Riva Edition speakers bring perfection to every wave. The combination of fine materials, including mahogany, maple and aluminum, captures the essence of the two brands.

Beosound A5

The Beosound A5 is described as a portable masterpiece of navy blue aluminium, wrapped in refined mahogany and maple veneer. The handle’s aluminum grip stands out thanks to its aquamarine shade and is laser-engraved with the Bang & Olufsen logo. The speaker is finished in the famous Bang & Olufsen factory in Struer, Denmark, while the wood part is made by Riva craftsmen in Sarnico.

The Beosound A5 has excellent quality 360-degree sound dispersion and is also Cradle to Cradle certified, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to longevity. Bang & Olufsen’s RoomSense adapts playback to the space for immersive and clear sound.

With a battery life of up to 12 hours and built-in wireless charging, plus IP65 water resistance certification, the Beosound A5 is the perfect companion for enjoying music on board a ship, by the pool or indoors. The speaker is also designed to last thanks to the easy replacement of individual components and the ability to integrate software updates.

Beosound 2

For its part, Beosound 2 is described as “a triumph of craftsmanship and sound”, where every detail tells a story of perfection: this durable, double-anodized aluminum speaker in navy blue is complemented by its iconic grille. The control panel in the form of a rudder is the specific element brought by the Riva edition, also in aquamarine blue shade.

Beosound 2 achieves truly powerful sound performance thanks to Bang & Olufsen Acoustic Lens Technology in the cone speaker body, which creates a 360-degree sound experience. Listeners can cycle through sets of songs with a single tap, and the wheel interface allows the sound to be directed to the user’s preferences.
