Danish headphone manufacturer Bang & Olufsen timed the introduction of new headphones very well. Beoplay Eleven introduced wireless headphones before Christmas and, together with other manufacturers, will try to attack the wallets of customers who don’t have deep pockets. The interested party will pay 499 euros for the novelty with the function of suppressing ambient noise (ANC).

Bang & Olufsen is known for emphasizing not only sound quality, design, workmanship and materials used, while rarely making price compromises. Every once in a while he comes up with some unusual innovation. In the case of new headphones, it is the possibility of replacing the battery, which tries to comply with the upcoming European directive on sustainability. However, there is a catch. The batteries are replaceable, but not “at home.” It is necessary to send them to the service center, which will take care of the replacement.

Beoplay Eleven are water and dust resistant (IP57 certification), have six microphones and, in addition to suppressing ambient noise, they also offer a “transparent” mode, which reproduces ambient sound into the headphones thanks to the microphones. According to the manufacturer, the ANC itself should be twice as effective at low frequencies compared to the previous EX model, while the headphones use the same 9.2 mm drivers. Battery life has not changed either. They can be used for six hours with “noise reduction” activation, and another 22 hours can be obtained with the charging case.
