Baseus Blade2 power bank review – MyApple.pl

Every now and then, a new device appears on the power bank market that stands out from the rest. One of them is the power bank that I recently had the opportunity to test – Baseus Blade2.

Power banks are basically boring devices, but at the same time, they are the ones we still find it hard to do without. Despite the increasing capacity and efficiency of batteries in laptops, smartphones and tablets, there always comes a time when they start to run out of energy, and at the same time we have no way to charge them from the mains. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a trip to the wilderness, but a music festival where we shoot a lot of videos and take a lot of photos with our phone will suffice, or even a more mundane situation – we’re sitting in a café and the nearest sockets are already occupied. That’s why I usually take a capacious power bank with me when I leave the house for more than a walk with my dog or an hour-long trip to the forest. Very often, in various situations, it’s simply more convenient for me to connect my MacBook or iPad to it than to look for a socket and pull cables.

My current power bank is the Baseus Blade 2. The device is equipped with a lithium polymer battery with Silicon Carbon technology cells, with a capacity of 12,000 mAh and offers a total output power of 65W. With this power, you can charge one device, e.g. a MacBook. When charging two devices, the output power is divided into 45W in the USB-C1 port and 20W in the USB-C2 port. This is enough to easily charge my MacBook or iPad Pro (which I mainly use as a portable monitor) when I work outside the home.

Truth be told, today every other power bank offers similar parameters (I also have power banks with more than twice the capacity in my collection), so it is becoming a standard to some extent. However, what definitely distinguishes Baseus Blade 2 from others is its form and appearance.

The device is very flat and resembles a small tablet. Its dimensions are 161.6 x 132 x 10.2 mm. The relatively low weight – 328 grams – is also impressive. Thanks to its size and weight, it will find a place in any backpack or bag. Blade 2 has a characteristic metal (aluminum) frame, similar to that of Apple mobile devices. In its upper part, there are two USB-C ports and a button that activates a small LCD display located on the upper surface. It shows, among other things, the percentage of charge or the charging time of connected devices (I wonder if anyone will ever write a Doom port for this power bank).

I have been using it intensively for the last few weeks, charging not only the aforementioned MacBook Pro M2 and iPad Pro, but also iPhones. The Baseus Blade 2 power bank works reliably and does not heat up during operation or when charging its battery. The device supports most popular fast charging standards, such as PD3.0, QC4+, QC3.0, FCP and Samsung AFC.

The Baseus Blade2 Powerbank is a convenient and stylish solution when it comes to an independent source of energy for our mobile devices. It can be purchased for PLN 349.
