Fashion that helps at the same time always has added value. The brand recently got involved in one of the charity projects Batawhich produced eighty original sneakers for the project Topcoat supporting through the organization DEBRA CR people with butterfly wing disease. She participated in it together with designer Liběna Rochová and artist Musa, which promises a truly unique spectacle.
Baťa and Nadotek collection
The main motif of the entire collection is the work of a renowned Czech designer and university teacher Liběna Rochová and artist Musa. It was he who created the black and white motifs of the line drawings, which were subsequently used in the entire series. We can see them on organic cotton, batiste and crepe fabrics. “We are honored to be part of this initiative. We have been collaborating with Liběna Rochová on a global level for several years, and every time our projects are creative, fruitful and inspiring. Like all our projects, this one was born spontaneously. We threw ourselves into it with joy and full commitment. Our brand and the entire team resonate with this project. That’s why we want to continue our cooperation next year,” says the initiator of the cooperation of the Baťa brand on the Nadotek project, Jana Barbati Chadová, adding: “We are very appreciative that the factory in Dolní Němčí fully immersed itself in this activity and produced unique sneakers by hand.”
Original products in limited quantities
In addition to hand-sewn original sneakers, you can find in the collection Topcoat and a number of other products. The artists also created a mini-series of overalls, pants, dresses and tops to support people with butterfly wings disease. However, they are joined by t-shirts in two unique designs, which will hit the shelves in the thousands. “At Bata, we have always had a warm relationship with charity projects, which is why we did not hesitate to get involved in the project by producing shoes. We are happy to be able to help something that really makes sense and support the less fortunate around us. At the same time, we are proud that we got the chance to participate not only in a great project, but also in such an unexpected artistic connection between a renowned designer and a young, but significantly talented, artist, Musa.” explains Ondřej Cedidla, Baťa Marketing Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
