Battery life for all iPhone 16 models: Here’s the full list

The information recently revealed by the Brazilian regulatory agency Anatel provides a detailed insight into the increase in the capacity of the batteries equipped with phones in the iPhone 16 range.

The batteries of the iPhone 16 models

According to the data, the standard model of the American company now has a 3,561 mAh battery. That is a 6.3% increase compared to the standard version of the iPhone 15 series.

The iPhone 16 Plus benefits from a 4,674 mAh battery, 6.6% larger than the previous model.

The most impressive improvement can be seen, however, in the Pro version. This received a 9.4% increase, reaching a capacity of 3,582 mAh.

The Pro Max model increases its battery capacity by 6%, reaching 4,685 mAh.

These capacity increases, combined with the new A18 and A18 Pro chips and thermal improvements, have resulted in a significant increase in battery life.

Impressive autonomy

Apple says the iPhone 16 can now deliver 22 hours of video playback, 18 hours of video streaming and 80 hours of audio playback.

The top of the range Pro Max impresses with 33 hours of video playback, 29 hours of video streaming and 105 hours of audio playback.

The difference in autonomy faÞof rivals

Compared to what the batteries of Android-equipped phones offer, the iPhone 16 series demonstrates the effectiveness of Apple’s optimizations.

Although the iPhone 16’s battery capacity is lower than that of rivals such as the Galaxy S24 (4,000 mAh) or the Pixel 9 (4,700 mAh), the difference in battery life is surprisingly small.

In tests, the iPhone 16 lasted 12 hours and 43 minutes, compared to 13 hours and 28 minutes for the Galaxy S24 and 13 hours and 18 minutes for the Pixel 9.

News on the side of loading

An interesting aspect is that all models come with 8GB of RAM, a minimum requirement for running AI-based features.

In addition to the improvements in autonomy, the series also brings innovations in terms of charging.

All models now support faster 25W MagSafe charging.

However, the use of Apple’s new MagSafe chargers and a 30W power adapter is required to benefit from the maximum wireless charging speeds.

The company also mentions that the new devices have a charging capacity of up to 45W via USB-C.
