Bayer Leverkusen | Despite injury: star striker traded to Manchester United

Victor Boniface is currently missing from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen due to a thigh injury. Nevertheless, the center forward of the double winner is very popular with another club: Manchester United.

The English record winner Manchester United under new team manager Ruben Amorim is interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface. This is what “Sky” reports.

After his arrival, Amorim recognized two construction sites. The new United boss sees a great need for action both on the left side of defense and in the center of the attack. Victor Boniface is now being traded as one of four options.

However, the center forward is currently out for an indefinite period. Before the Bundesliga game against Heidenheim (5:2), Bayer Leverkusen’s head coach Xabi Alonso was unable to predict how long Victor Boniface would be suffering from the thigh injury he suffered with the national team. However, a comeback this calendar year is not completely ruled out.

The 23-year-old recently suffered the injury in the international match against Rwanda. Boniface was in the starting line-up in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier but was only substituted in the 89th minute. Nigeria lost the game 1:2 (0:0) despite taking the lead.

Frankfurt star Marmoush also on the list at United?

It is now the second time this year that the striker has returned injured from a trip with the Nigerian national team to Leverkusen. In January he suffered a serious muscle and tendon injury in his right thigh, and an operation was subsequently necessary. As a result, Victor Boniface missed eleven Bundesliga games in the second half of the season and was only able to play again in the final spurt of the season.

For head coach Xabi Alonso, the new loss is a bitter blow. Victor Boniface has also been in attack at Bayer Leverkusen so far this season. He has scored six goals in ten league games so far.

In addition to the Bayer star, Randal Kolo Muani (PSG), Omar Marmoush (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Victor Osimhen (on loan from Naples as Galatasaray) are also said to be on Manchester United’s list.
