ADespite having already been promulgated by the President of the Republic, on December 26, the change in land law may take a step back and go on to be discussed in the Assembly of the Republic (AR). The request came from the Bloco de Esquerda, Livre and PAN, which together bring together the ten deputies needed to request parliamentary consideration of a diploma. “The other political forces will be doing the country a disservice if they do not allow this diploma to be appreciated,” Inês Sousa Real, PAN’s only deputy, told Expresso. The PCP will also join the attempt to revoke the government decree.
