Having become the laughing stock of social networks because of the poster of Thunderbolts*, suspected by Internet users of having been generated by artificial intelligence, was not enough to cool Disney’s interest in this controversial technology. Indeed, the firm would even be on the verge of making a major decision which will transform its creative output.
Disney and AI, the start of a beautiful love story?
This is not going to please opponents of artificial intelligence: according to our colleagues at The Wrap, Disney is about to announce a major transformation of its creative process. According to their sources, this initiative would involve hundreds of people within the company, and would mainly concern post-production and visual effects.
The operation of the studios would not be the only one to be impacted by this change, since the parks and experiences (stays, cruises) are also on the list – but not customer relations. A large-scale restructuring, the details of which must be taken with a grain of salt for the moment, Disney declined to comment.
Microsoft, Apple, Lionsgate, James Cameron, Adobe, and now Disney.
Courage to those who still refuse to live with AI all around them… Because from now on, it is clear that we will have to adapt.

In addition, another source of The Wrap indicates that the firm is working on its own artificial intelligence initiativesbut it is still too early for an official announcement. This information will anger fans, already upset by the use of this technology to the detriment of the work of real artists. Apart from a massive public boycott, it is unlikely that the “march of progress” will stop, but on the contrary Hollywood majors are increasingly investing their resources in AI.

Disney was one of the largest entertainment companies in the world, its official positioning in favor of this new technology will shake up the film industry… Which comes out of a long strike of actors and screenwriters linked (among other things) to this tool which endangers their profession, and whose rules are not yet well defined.
Already used in Disney productions, such as to create younger versions of their characters (Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker), AI will now be present in every aspect of production. And you, what do you think?
