The Volvo EX90 was shown for the first time already in 2022, but due to technical difficulties, it is only now that the first deliveries are approaching.
Although the launch has been postponed by almost a year, the first cars will however lack up to ten functions. The first test drives also indicate that the car has a lot of problems with bugs and system errors.

Uses cutting-edge technology
The problems in the new EX90 revolve around the fact that Volvo has chosen to build the car around a so-called “core computing” system.

Problem med core computing
The technology is seen by many as the future of the automotive industry, but still suffers from infancy.
For example, the system does not shut down when you park the car, and therefore draws up to 4 percent of the battery per day.
As mentioned above, many features are also missing at launch, which the first cars will be updated with afterwards, and several journalists who have driven the car testify to bugs and system errors.

Believe in tolerant buyers
That a brand new car with a base price of around SEK 1 million is delivered unfinished and with bugs may seem unacceptable, but Jim Rowan takes it all in stride.
– I think there is a level of tolerance among the first buyers, says Jim Rowan.
He believes that the owners will appreciate the fine driving characteristics, and think that the car will get better over time.
Rowan points out that “surprisingly” few customers have ordered their cars despite the long delays and confusion, and promises that Volvo will never again launch a car that is not finished.
