More experienced, and served by players of superior quality, Clube da Luz finished the challenge leaving observers with the conviction that the improvement they have been showing in recent games is confirmed, which brings back the idea that it will be possible to beat for all titles, especially at national level.
In the Champions League, with the victory over Monaco, Benfica clearly improved its position in the table, which means it will not be too complicated to guarantee access to the next phase of the most important club competition on the old continent.
In the following round, the sixth, the reds will host the Italians from Bologna, everything seems to indicate that it will be possible to achieve another victory and that, if it happens, it will catapult the eagle to a more comfortable position, thus reaching the play- off the Champions League, an objective that a few days ago seemed unattainable.
At a national level, the panorama is not complicated for Lisbon residents either:
they will play in Arouca and receive Vitória de Guimarães in the next two rounds, and there will still be another game for the Portuguese Cup, going to Faro and, finally, the adjustment of the calendar in the League fulfilling the game that is missing, with Nacional da Wood.
