Il June 6, 1944 thousands of soldiers fought in Normandy after the famous Allied landing. They have passed 80 years old and to celebrate this anniversary various initiatives have been organized in Europe. Bentley participates with a unique car in the world, a Bentayga EWB Mulliner which has on the bodywork 80 poppies arising from a map of northern France. Each flower symbolizes a broken life.
This special one Remembrance Car will now embark on a journey across the UK. At the weekend it will feature in the Race of Remembrance on Anglesey, organized by Mission Motorsport, where it will act as a race car in an event that will bring a community together in remembrance.
He will then return to Bentley headquarters in Crewe on November 11, where Bentley employees will gather to reflect. On November 13, the car will be on display at His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire Awards for honor the Armed Forces.

A mobile tribute
This commemorative project is particularly significant for Bentley’s BeReady network, which provides a space of support for veterans and reservists in service. James Lynam, Functional Project Manager Body In White at Bentley and co-president of the BeReady network, said:
“The commemoration is an important moment for the BeReady network and Bentley, a time to reflect on the sacrifices of the Armed Forces. This year, with the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we worked together to create a design that honors courage of those who served, capturing the dangerous journeys of soldiers in an instantly recognizable and powerful way.”
