Are you planning to go shopping for a used phone? Definitely don’t go shopping blindly and check your chosen device thoroughly. It will take some time, but the result will be a proven phone that will likely serve you well and for a long time to come. So what to try with a second-hand mobile phone? How to buy second hand Android?
Even if the seller claims that the second-hand mobile offered by him is in perfect condition, it is a good idea to check it. It’s similar to a car from the bazaar, which needs to be driven before buying, ideally with a mechanic and have it properly inspected at a service center. With a second-hand mobile phone, these actions are of course much easier and you can do it yourself.
For a thorough check, equip yourself with a power bank, wireless charger, SIM card, ideally with mobile data and wireless headphones. First, check the construction of the phone for damage and the overall condition of the device. Keep in mind that finding scratches or dings beyond what the seller advertises can help knock the price down a bit more. Don’t forget the side buttons either.

It pays to check
Of course, turn on the phone, with the SIM card, and it will test wired and wireless charging. Beware of damage to the USB connector, which is a fairly common problem. It is also necessary to test the Bluetooth connection and whether it works as it should, which you can achieve by connecting the headphones you brought. Now it’s time to check the display.
It is ideal to check it through the service menu of the phone, which you can get to by typing the code *#0*# (in the case of Samsung). Here you can check dead pixels and speakers. The spare SIM card is then suitable not only for the call test, but also for the Internet connection, the eventual defect of which you would only discover at home if you did not carry out the check.
What to check at the end?
Head to the phone’s settings and find the section related to hardware, where you can check whether the specified parameters are correct. Then focus mainly on the internal storage, as it is likely that the phone was available in several storage versions. Such a detailed check is definitely worth it, because thanks to it you will be sure that you are buying verified goods and nothing will surprise you.
