Biden’s decision is bad news for Trump’s camp

Several observers say that President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the election campaign is bad news for Donald Trump, who now has to postpone his election campaign after he has focused extensively on the president’s person.

For months, Trump and his allies have focused on a campaign in which Biden’s age and health have been at the center, and many television stations have repeatedly shown a slur or a stutter from the president.

Republicans have often mocked their political opponent, and at the Republican Convention in Milwaukee, Trump’s running mate for the post of vice president, JD Vance, called Biden “Fake Scranton Joe” in reference to the city where Biden is from.

– Biden’s decision to withdraw is bad news for Trump, says Henry Olsen from the think tank Center for Ethics and Public Policy.

– In the opinion polls, Biden has the lowest recognition for his efforts as president, and he is obviously influenced by his age.

– It would be far better for Trump to run an election campaign against him than against any other of the candidates who may come into play, he adds.

Trump writes in his reaction to Biden’s decision that “Rogue Joe was not fit to be president and that he is clearly not fit to be re-elected.

– He only managed to become president by coming up with lies, with fake news and by never leaving his basement. Everyone around him – including his doctor and the media – knows that he was not fit to be president, and he was not, Trump writes, adding:

– And now look at what he has done to our country, where millions flow across our borders – without control. Many from prisons and psychiatric institutions and a record number of terrorists. We will suffer and pay a heavy price for his presidency. But we will fix the damage very quickly. Make America great again!”
