The new Hyundai Santa Fe was named SUV of the Year at the TopGear.com Awards.
The latest model in the Hyundai lineup has been awarded for its compelling combination of value, style and versatility. There’s also an impressive powertrain that features the 1.6-liter T-GDi Smartstream engine in two hybrid versions (two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive) and a plug-in hybrid four-wheel drive version. Hybrids provide 215 hp and 367 Nm of maximum torque, while the Plug-in hybrid provides 253 hp and 367 Nm.
“The Santa Fe is a smart and sophisticated looking car that fits into a variety of environments. It looks great in urban landscapes or parked next to radical architecture, but if you take it far outside the city it will look tough, rugged and ready for adventure. It achieves what it needs to and in terms of design, thoughtfulness and versatility, there is no family car that can rival it and deliver the same value for money.” – said Ollie Marridge, Top Gear’s head of car testing.
