Organized by the Department of Energy of the United States of America and the Ministry of Energy of Romania, the 5th ministerial meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) was held in Bucharest.

The summit in Bucharest showed that all countries are moving towards alternative sources, from nuclear energy, which is returning to the big door, to renewable energy sources, as well as hydrogen – the fuel of the future, and geothermal energy.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready for the future, and it can be seen in the clean energy of the sun, wind, hydropower, geothermal energy, and maybe one day nuclear energy, either on its own or in partnership with neighboring countries. We have the will and knowledge, as well as the willingness of American and European partners to help us in this. We must be aware that Europe needs energy in any form, and Bosnia and Herzegovina has the necessary potential to think about feasibility studies regarding nuclear, geothermal and other forms of energy,” said Vedran Lakić, Federal Minister of Energy, Industry and Mining.

During the conference, Minister Lakić held a series of important conversations with fellow ministers from other countries, as well as with representatives of American companies interested in expanding their operations to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he says. eCopy.

Serbia also plans to build nuclear power plants. In the draft of the Energy Development Strategy in Serbia until 2040 with projections until 2050, it is stated that the first nuclear power plant could appear online before 2050.

Both in the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan for the period up to 2030 and the vision up to 2050, it is predicted that in the energy mix of the Republic of Serbia, nuclear energy will take part, with a conservative forecast of the commissioning of the nuclear power plant in 2045.
