A teenager riding a motorcycle died after being hit by a bus in Chittagong’s Lohagara. The name of the deceased is Mohammad Rakib (24). He is the son of Nurul Islam in Hazarkhil area of Satkania Upazila Dhemsha Union.
On Thursday (November 28) around 10 o’clock in the night, Rakib and another passenger, Mohammad Arif, were seriously injured after being hit by a speeding Eagle Paribahan bus heading towards Lohagara in front of Padua Swiss Park Community Center on Chittagong Cox’s Bazar highway.
Locals immediately rescued the two and took them to the emergency department of Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared Rakib dead. Mohammad Arif, who was seriously injured, was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment after first aid.
Lohagara Upazila Health Complex emergency department doctor Dr. Mohammad Raihan Uddin told Dainik Azadi that two people were brought to the emergency department with serious injuries. Rakib died before reaching the hospital.
