Will RTL continue “DSDS” beyond the current season? According to “Bild”: yes. But then no longer with Pietro Lombardi.
“Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, which can be seen on Saturdays during prime time on RTL, is currently not close to the ratings of the previous season. But: If you believe the current “Bild” reporting from the weekend, then RTL has already decided that the music show will continue beyond the current season. RTL has not commented on this. “Bild” not only reports that another season is already a done deal, but also that there are changes in the jury.
Accordingly, Pietro Lombardi, who recently made infamous headlines because of his private life, would no longer be there in the next round. The paper even speculates that RTL apparently already has a Lombardi successor in mind. Here the choice fell on rapper Bushido, which would be quite obvious: Bushido had recently made several seasons of a documentary series for RTL and RTL+.
Pietro Lombardi: Does he have to leave “DSDS”?
How secure all of this is is unclear. In any case, Lombardi’s management has not yet been spoken to, as Bild has already found out. Pietro Lombardi, who once won the eighth season of “DSDS” (in 2011), has sat on the jury chair next to Dieter Bohlen in four seasons. Loredana and Beatrice Egli are also currently assessing the singing performances of the people performing. The current season will consist of 15 episodes – it will therefore be shorter than the previous seasons. The record is held by a season broadcast in 2012: the ninth round comprised 24 editions.
