DAPURPACUID – PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) and PT Berkah Industri Mesin Lifting (BIMA) have officially collaborated in the procurement of spare parts and overhaul services for Hino engines.
The signing of this cooperation provides benefits for PT BIMA’s services, in order to improve trade connectivity which can contribute to reducing national logistics costs.
The signing of the MoU was carried out by Paul July Supatrio, President Director of PT BIMA and Takashi Muto, President Director of HMSI, at the Hino booth at the 2024 GIIAS event, Friday (26/7).
“Thank you for the trust given by Pelindo Jasa Maritim and Berkah Industri Mesin for the provision of spare parts and engine overhaul services,” Muto-san.
“It is hoped that this collaboration can increase the efficiency of PT BIMA’s operational fleet to provide the best service for port operations,” he added.
The aim of this collaboration is to improve the operational efficiency of the Hino fleet throughout the working areas of the subsidiary of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim, including Pelabuhan Indonesia.
The agreement includes technical support and services from Hino, which ensures that PT BIMA’s spare parts and engine overhaul service needs are met properly.
This collaboration is the first contract between Hino and PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim and PT BIMA, as well as a derivative contract. Previously, the main contract was signed between Hino and PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim on March 6, 2024 in Makassar.
Currently, PT BIMA has 172 units in operation, and the cooperation contract will last for 23 months since it was signed.
Paul explained that this collaboration is a strategic step to ensure that the company can provide the best service in procuring spare parts and overhauling services for Hino engines.
“We are confident that with the support of HMSI, we can improve operations better and provide more reliable services to users and to Indonesian Ports,” he concluded. (dpid/TH)
