Biotechnology in focus; Serbia at the Biotech Future Forum

At the upcoming Biotech Future Forum, which will be held on October 24 and 25 in Belgrade, researchers will have the opportunity to hear from leading world experts how biotechnology and artificial intelligence can shape the future together. Serbia has recognized the strategic importance of biotechnology, which is considered one of the most promising scientific fields with great potential for changing people’s lives, especially in medicine and agriculture.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia invests in research and development, placing biotechnology in the focus of its scientific and economic policies. This approach allows Serbia to position itself as a leader in the field of biotechnology and innovation, which is confirmed by international partnerships and investments. Biotechnology is a technology that can significantly influence the direction of human development. In cooperation with information technologies and artificial intelligence, it will shape the future with the aim of improving the quality of life.

This field offers solutions to global challenges, such as food production for a growing population, development of new drugs, personalized medicine and environmentally sustainable solutions. Development of biotechnology is essential not only for national interest, but also for responsibility towards future generations, because innovations from today’s laboratories shape tomorrow’s world.

Also, science and innovation are key to creating a sustainable economy. Educational and research institutions in Serbia are working to maintain a significant place in the global arena of competition. One of the most significant projects is the construction of the BIO4 Campus. We remind you that it is a platform for cooperation in biotechnology, biomedicine, bioinformatics and biodiversity, which will also include artificial intelligence. Startup companies, biotechnological and biopharmaceutical companies will work in the campus, which will enable faster application of research in practice.

Domestic biotechnology at work – BIO4 Campus
