Black Myth Wukong has not arrived on Xbox Series X because of Xbox Series S

Black Myth Wukong has become one of the best games of 2024, and has been a huge success both in terms of reviews and sales, but it is not yet available on Xbox. If you think this is due to some kind of exclusivity agreement, you’re wrong, the problem is at the hardware level, and the culprit is Xbox Series S.

This is not a memory leak problem, and so the CEO has confirmed it from Game Science, the developer of Black Myth Wukong. The key is that Xbox Series S It only has 10 GB of unified memory, and that in order to adapt the original version of the game to said console they need time and experience.

Perhaps Game Science is trying to optimize to avoid having to reach such a low resolution and quality level on Xbox Series S, or perhaps the game’s design simply makes it incompatible with such a limited amount of memory.
