The technicians of E-Distribution are working to restore the lines. “It is reported that the exceptional heat wave that is affecting the entire Peninsula has caused a series of disruptions to the electricity network in the province of Ancona for the resolution of which the Company has promptly taken action” reads the press release issued today.

“Specifically, this afternoon a double fault occurred in the Adriatico/Passetto area of ​​the municipality of Ancona, affecting two sections of underground cable, caused by the exceptional rise in temperatures and their relative persistence.”

“The Company has carried out automation and remote control maneuvers and is identifying a site where it is possible to lay a temporary cable to re-power the currently isolated section and to install a Power Station (a high-power generator) in the fault area” it is specified.

The excessive heat, however, is causing problems of this type in various areas of Italy, with blackouts affecting both the north and the south of the peninsula.
