Blaze Audio announces the BL18S high-performance passive subwoofer

Blaze Audio, has announced the launch of the BL18S, a high-performance passive subwoofer designed by renowned speaker designer Hugh Sarvis. The BL18S completes Blaze Audio’s CBL series and is specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with the CBL523 and CBL528 constant beamwidth loudspeakers.

The BL18S offers a complete, full-range audio system that improves sound quality and performance for small to medium-sized venues requiring scalable and versatile low frequency solutions. Designed primarily for free-standing installations, it features an 18-inch woofer in a reflex chamber enclosure that delivers a low frequency bandwidth of up to 31 Hz at -10 dB and achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 136 dB at 1 m. For added convenience, the subwoofer is equipped with optional wheels that can be attached to the rear, allowing for easy handling and installation in hybrid venues.
For optimal performance, the BL18S should be powered exclusively by Blaze Audio’s PowerZone Connect amplifiers rated at 3000W or more and with the appropriate speaker presets configured.
Multiple BL18S subwoofers can be installed in arrays and configured via amplifier presets to deliver either omnidirectional or cardioid polar patterns, ensuring exceptional sound distribution.
