Blind test of cameras on smartphones of the Flip form factor – Moto Razr 50 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip6, Honor Magic V Flip, Tecno V Flip2

Hello.

The Flip form factor is gaining popularity; there are a dozen different models on the market; they are distinguished by their compact sizes and, at the same time, the cameras are a little lower class than those in flagships of the usual design. There are many reasons for this, for example, the small thickness of the clamshell halves, which cannot always accommodate modern camera modules. But there is also a marketing calculation here, clamshells are fashion devices, they do not focus on the quality of photography.

I found it interesting to try how different devices shoot, so I took four models – Moto Razr 50 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip6, Honor Magic V Flip, Tecno V Flip2. In Russia, only Samsung and Tecno are officially sold; the other two devices can be found on the gray market, they are sold second-hand. But for the purposes of our comparison, this does not play a big role, because the main thing is to try how they shoot and evaluate the quality of the pictures.
