‘Blitz’ – creators and cast talk about the new war drama coming to Apple TV+

Steve McQueen is a director and screenwriter known primarily for the Oscar-winning drama “Zniewolony”. His new film “Blitz” is scheduled to premiere in November, which will also be available on Apple TV+. Apple has published a new video promoting it.

“Blitz” will be a war drama taking place in England during World War II. It will tell the story of nine-year-old George living in London, who is sent to the countryside by his mother, Rita, hoping that he will be safer there than in the city. However, the boy does not like this plan and decides to run away and get back home on his own. The main roles will be played by Saoirse Ronan (including “Angel’s Nostalgia” and “Hanna”) and Elliott Heffernan (for whom it will be (this is the first film role). In the new promotional material published by Apple, Ronan, Heffernan, McQueen and other people involved in the making of the film talk about working on it, its plot, characters and main themes. The recording also shows several behind-the-scenes shots from the set.

The film “Blitz” will debut in selected cinemas on November 1. From November 22, it will also be available to watch via Apple TV+.
