Oppo will soon be ready to carry out on stage the official description of its new Watch X2. Zhou Yibao, Product Manager of Oppo, revealed that one of the key new features of the wearables will be the use of a blood pressure function.
The smart watch and its new function were presented in a live photo and we can see a round screen and two buttons on the right side. It will be available in February, when the Oppo Find N5 will also be released as “the thinnest foldable in the world”.
The photo reveals an unusual design, but it appears to be just a massive casing built to shield the design from prying eyes before the official unveiling.
The same executive claimed that the Watch X2 gave them a prompt, revealing a potential risk of high blood pressure. They added that they should watch their diet and daily life because hypertension (or high blood pressure) is the number one risk factor for death worldwide.
This will be Oppo’s first wearable device that can monitor blood pressure. However, its sister company, OnePlus, has already built this feature into its own Watch 2.
