BMW is launching a new range of carbon fiber accessories for the M5 Touring

The BMW M5 Touring can be equipped with a number of carbon fiber accessories. What elements can customers choose for the new high-performance station wagon.

Recently, BMW launched the first M5 Touring since the E61 M5. The new model will compete with the Audi RS 6, but also with a future Mercedes-AMG E 63. Moreover, due to the plug-in hybrid engine, the new M5 Touring has gained weight, but BMW wants at least the exterior to give the impression of a mass smaller than it actually is.

The German manufacturer has launched a new range of carbon fiber accessories for the new M5 Touring. These are part of the M Performance catalog, so you won’t find them in the regular configurator. They can be retrofitted and choose what elements the customer wants, not necessarily as a whole package.

The M5 Touring follows in the sedan’s footsteps, as the sedan version received these upgrades a few months ago. The most noticeable changes are the front splitter and the rear diffuser. Both have a split configuration and give the high-performance station wagon a more dynamic look.

Side skirts are available, but the M5 Touring isn’t available with a carbon fiber roof like the sedan is. Also on the list of carbon fiber accessories is a tank cap, which completes the package.

Even though we don’t have images of the car’s interior, we sense that BMW will provide floor mats with a different design, as well as a special case for the car key.

The aggressive design, augmented by these carbon fiber elements, is supported by a 727 hp hybrid drive that propels the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h, if the optional M Driver package is checked.
