Bodies of 2 tourists recovered from Rupasi Jharna in Mirsarai

The dead bodies of 2 tourists were recovered from Rupsi Jharna area of ​​Mirsarai. After the two tourists went missing this Friday morning, the divers of the fire service rescued them dead from the well of the fountain in the afternoon.

According to local sources, a group of 13 tourists went to Rupsi Jharna area on October 4 (Friday) around 9 am and when two tourists went missing, the Mirsarai Fire Service was informed.

From 11 o’clock, a diving team of the fire service started the operation to rescue the missing tourists in the well of the fountain. Jharna recovered their bodies from the deep well around 1 pm.

The names of the deceased are Musfiqur Rahman (21) and Mahbub Rahman Mustakim (21).

The deceased are Musfiqur Rahman son of Atiqur Rahman of Narayanganj Sadar area and Mahbub Rahman son of Muhammad Murad of the same area.

Imam Hossain Patwari, station officer of Mirsarai Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, said that a diving team was sent for rescue after receiving the news that two tourists were missing in Rupsi Jharna located in the hills of Wahepur Union of the upazila. Their bodies were recovered after a two-hour search.

It is to be mentioned that yesterday (September 27) after the death of a bank official who was hit by a stone, on Saturday (September 28) evening, Chittagong North Forest Division announced the temporary closure of the Khiachhara river. Later today Friday (October 4) Khayachhara Rjhana is being opened for tourists.
