The naval police recovered the body of an unidentified youth (35) floating from the Karnaphuli river in Chittagong. The body was recovered from Kalpalok residential Sampan Ghat area under Baklia police station on Wednesday (January 08) around 1:30 pm.
Sadarghat Naval Police OC Mohammad Ekram Ullah confirmed the truth of the incident.
The victim was wearing white gabardine pants, jeans with black full pants, height 5 feet 4 inches and beard. The body is male.
According to the police, the locals informed the naval police when they saw the body of the unidentified youth floating in the Karnaphuli river. On receiving information, the police recovered the body of the youth from the spot.
Mohammad Ekram Ullah, OC of Sadarghat Naval Police, said that the identity of the body has not been found so far. The body has been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem. In this regard, messages have been given to various police stations and police headquarters regarding identification. He requested everyone’s cooperation in identifying the identity.
