According to proposalsalary growth will be provided in several stages (over a total duration of four years): plus 12% in the first year, another 8% in each of the next two years and then a final 7%, Axios reports.

Previously, Boeing management offered a 25% salary increase, but union representatives rejected the deal. The strike began on September 13 amid news of layoffs, reminds Axios.

The proposal will now be put to a union vote on October 23. More than half of the union’s members must vote in favor for a deal that could end the strike to be approved.

Over the past year, Boeing aircraft have repeatedly appeared in the news related to breakdowns and unsafe flights, so the corporation is trying to improve production and save its reputation.
