Boeing’s New CEO Announces Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) President Resigns

How notes CNBC, all current decisions are driven by one overarching goal: “restoring the trust of our customers and meeting the high standards they expect from us to deliver on their mission-critical missions around the world.”

Colbert’s role, which originally focused on information technology and global services at the company, will temporarily go to Steve Parker until a permanent replacement is found.

Boeing is currently in a serious crisis after a series of incidents, including mid-air plane failures and problems with the Boeing Starliner. The spacecraft failed to pick up its astronauts from the ISS as planned because the risk of engine failure while passing through the atmosphere was too great.

Amid the incidents, Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun and Chairman Larry Kellner announced their resignations. And since last week, the company has been on a massive strike involving tens of thousands of workers.
