Bolat: There will be a great relief starting from 2026

In his speech at the 50th Establishment Anniversary program of the Konya Chamber of Industry, held at the Selçuklu Congress Center and attended by the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Bolat said that the unity and solidarity in the city is a factor in Konya becoming one of the leading industrial cities of the country. He said it was of great importance.

Stating that they are working intensively for both Konya and other provinces of Turkey, Bolat said, “The world is going through great troubles. We all sadly see and experience the hot wars and conflicts in our north and south. Protectionist tendencies predominate in world trade. The new administration in the USA is We are already observing that they have announced very serious customs tax increases for some countries. This means that trade in the world will become even more intense and there is a minefield. “We are determined and determined to bring our country to a level in its field and bring it back to a period with strong political stability, strong economic stability, strong growth, and increasing the welfare of its people.” he said.

Bolat pointed out that the country has been through great disasters in the last five years, and stated that first the Covid-19 epidemic and then the wars shook the region, causing disruptions in trade, tourism and many other areas.

Reminding that a great disaster occurred with the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş, Bolat continued as follows:

“Hopefully, once we heal the wounds of disasters such as epidemics, wars and earthquakes completely within 1-2 years, relief will spread rapidly and be distributed equally to all segments of society. In order to keep the economy afloat after inflation, epidemics, wars and earthquakes, relief will be provided to both segments of society, our citizens and those who want to invest.” Financing support was provided to our industrialists and agricultural sectors at low interest rates, and our economy managed to grow for 16 quarters, even in this environment of troubles. Our national income exceeded 1.2 trillion dollars. “I hope we can even see 1.3 trillion dollars by the end of this year. We have exceeded 13 thousand 230 dollars in per capita national income. We will be able to see 14 thousand 515 dollars by the end of the year.”

Bolat noted that Turkey is getting stronger day by day in exports and tourism and said:

“Please do not underestimate what we have achieved and what we have achieved. These were important achievements, but this nation deserves more. Our country will climb to better places in the world economic league. Today, we are the 17th largest economy and we will be better than the 11th largest economy according to purchasing power parity. These are Glass is half full. Aren’t there problems? Of course there are, unfortunately, with the financial support given to ease the economy and the increasing demand during the epidemic, war and earthquake periods. With the emergence of price increases, we entered an inflationary process. All countries of the world entered this.

America also entered, Europe also entered, Japan also entered, the Far East also entered. All countries in the world have experienced this process, and measures are generally taken against inflation by cooling demands a little through tight monetary policies. Thank God, inflation, which rose to 76 percent, has decreased to 48.5 percent since June, on a CPI basis. “The disinflationary process will accelerate next year and, God willing, we are working with all our strength to close the next year with inflation figures just above 20.”

Bolat stated that Konya has begun to act as the locomotive of development in Anatolia with its strengthening industry and trade, and emphasized that they, as the Ministry of Commerce, will continue to provide the necessary support and service.

Explaining the support and opportunities offered to exporters, Bolat made the following evaluations:

“Hopefully, as we reduce inflation, the over 2 trillion expenditures spent on the earthquake so far will be a big expenditure next year as well. In 2025, as of 2026, the share of the earthquake in the state budget will decrease significantly and there will be a great relief. I hope this will also be a great relief for all social “It will be distributed fairly to all segments of society, and both our economy, industrialists, farmers, tradesmen, retirees and SMEs will be relieved.”
