The processor AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D continues to see enormously high demand in Germanymonths after its launch. As reported by ComputerBase, the chip is now widely available in the country, but at a higher price than the official price list.
The situation it has significantly improved compared to two months ago, when it was practically impossible to find the processor in stock. Currently, retailer MindFactory offers it for 589 euros, around 60 euros above the recommended price. This surcharge is helping to maintain sufficient inventory in stores.
On average, MindFactory sells a Ryzen 7 9800X3D every two and a half minutes.
MindFactory has shared some impressive sales figures for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. On January 1, nearly 8,700 units were sold in a single day. Over the next 10 days, sales nearly doubled to 14,160 processors.
Availability is also improving in the United States. On Amazon and Newegg the processor can be purchased with a surcharge of just 10 dollars compared to the official price list of 739 dollars.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D was one of the most requested processors of 2024, offering 15% higher gaming performance on average compared to the previous model. This quickly attracted the attention of consumers globally.
AMD believes the strong demand has also been amplified by disappointing launch of Intel’s Arrow Lake processors. A company spokesperson said: “Demand has been a little higher than we anticipated because of the product horrible made by Intel”.
Thanks to its excellent performance, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has quickly become the best-selling processor on Amazon a few days after launch, confirming itself as one of the most successful CPUs of recent years.
At the moment, at least as far as Amazon Italy is concerned, the processor is not available, so if you were looking for one you will have to look at other retailers to find out if they have it available.
