The compact indoor and outdoor loudspeaker range offers system integrators, specialist planners and engineers a versatile, individually combinable solution that is suitable for both large, distributed and small to medium-sized systems.
Bose Professional has announced the global availability of two new models from the versatile AMU speaker range. In addition to the new speakers AMU108-120 and AMU208-120, two new accessory products for additional mounting options are also coming onto the market.
With expanded options for wider sound distribution, the new additions to the AMU range provided even more flexibility while delivering proven powerful sound, clear voice reproduction and deep, powerful music reproduction for a variety of applications.
“The AMU series is designed to scale to meet the needs of both large, distributed and small to medium-sized audio systems,” said Shawn Watts, director of product management at Bose Professional. “Thanks to various driver configurations, mounting options and colors, the AMU series opens up almost endless installation options and enables flexible sound distribution indoors and outdoors. The speakers combine the highest performance and best speech intelligibility with easy installation, making them the perfect choice for bars, restaurants with high dynamics, gyms, auditoriums, halls, theme parks and public areas.”
The new AMU108-120 features a constant directivity tweeter with a newly developed waveguide for a wide, even sound distribution of 120° × 60°. Thanks to a Bose Professional LF8 8-inch woofer, the system achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 121 dB and a frequency response of 80 Hz to 16 kHz.
The larger AMU208-120 offers the same 120° × 60° sound distribution in the high frequency range, combined with two Bose Professional LF8 8-inch woofers, enabling an impressive maximum SPL of 126 dB and a frequency response of 70 Hz to 16 kHz.

The AMU series mounting accessories also offer new installation options. The product range includes a new tripod adapter and new suspension rail brackets as well as stainless steel U-mounting brackets, a Bi-pivot wall bracket for surface mounting and suspension brackets for single-point suspension with attachment points at multiple angles. All loudspeakers in the AMU series have a UV-resistant surface and are suitable for outdoor use in accordance with protection class IP55 – custom-made products or retrofitting associated with additional costs are not necessary.
For maximum performance and easy installation, the AMU systems could be expanded with the weatherproof MB210-WR subwoofer with two 10-inch woofers and the PowerShareX amplifiers with factory-optimized presets.
