In addition, employees attach great importance to the fact that companies are structures that provide social benefits and serve a meaningful purpose. When it comes to the pandemic, hybrid working models should also be mentioned. Hybrid working models still exist, but we also observe an increase in returns to the office. As Multinet Up, we adopt the location-independent working model with our team of 570 people, thus offering our colleagues the opportunity to work from all over Turkey. Especially in this period when Generation Z faces difficulties in establishing an individual life after university, the solution that the location-independent working model brings to the housing problem is of particular importance.
CORPORATE GIFT SOLUTIONS
In this new world, payment cards also came to the fore. In this context, can you tell us about the world of Multinet Up? What kind of services do you have?
Our flagship MultiNet meal card. However, in addition to our meal card solution, our corporate gift solutions also attract attention. Corporate gifts are a very important element for companies to show the value they give to their employees. At this point, let me talk about MultiFlex, the digital and flexible solution of our corporate gift card MultiGift. Thanks to this solution, employees can choose their gifts freely and according to their personal preferences. In addition, we are Shell’s largest brokerage firm in Turkey with our fuel solution MultiPetrol, so we have a very serious vehicle recognition sales in this field. MultiTravel focuses on corporate travel needs. Employees can access more economical accommodation options by planning their business trips through our hotels. In addition, we provide services for the vehicles of companies’ own staff with our MultiCar+ solution. MultiHealth, which we will launch in January 2025, will be a product where we will offer employees the opportunity to do sports and support their health and motivation.

Now in this new world, fringe benefits and rewards have become very important. What kind of applications do you have in this context?
For the new generation of employees, the feeling of being cared for takes precedence over wage expectations. If you remember, in the past, Ramadan boxes were given during holidays or baskets were delivered on New Year’s Eve. However, in the developing and changing world, with the Z generation, employees now want to make these choices themselves. Offering employees freedom of choice is also of great importance for their motivation. When we compare today with 20 years ago, there is also a change in employers’ reward systems for their employees. For example, let’s say the employee made a good sale or gained good momentum. Now employers reward instantly, there is no need to wait a year. As Multinet Up, we take this change into consideration and offer a wide range of services with our practices that satisfy employees of all generations.
SPEEDING STAKEHOLDERS’ GROWTH
Why do employers not give such rights, benefits or rewards directly to their employees, instead they use you as an intermediary? Are there opportunities or advantages for employers here?
As Multinet Up, we manage a large ecosystem with 1.5 million card users, more than 76,000 member businesses and more than 45,000 corporate customers. Our brand purpose is to accelerate the growth of businesses and our stakeholders. So how do we accelerate their growth? Think of a business, that business has basic business. He needs to buy and sell a basic good or service. In addition, manpower and labor are required to deal with operational expenses. We say to businesses: You focus on your core business, we will manage your operational expenses and give you cost and time advantages. In this way, businesses accelerate their growth.
Whatever you say are the hallmark events of 2024, we would probably say artificial intelligence has made a leap. So how will artificial intelligence enter your industry? What kind of world and future awaits us?
Artificial intelligence has already entered our industry, I can even say that we are leading our industry in this field. As Multinet Up, we use artificial intelligence extensively in our customer experience, marketing and IT processes. For example; 65 percent of our member businesses use our MultiPOS mobile POS application, which facilitates payment processes. In our MultiPay mobile application, 3 million transactions are carried out daily. At this point, while companies take their operational burdens from them, we bear this burden ourselves. As Multinet Up, we have reached very high levels in the fields of robotic process automation and artificial intelligence, and we currently have robots that work equivalent to a workforce of 140 people. For example, robots automatically enter the terms of a contract we make with a customer into our system. Frankly, we are very lucky in this regard. Because we have a technology company called Inventiv, which is our wholly owned subsidiary. It is located in Boğaziçi University’s Technopark and employs approximately 90 engineers.
MULTINET UP PRODUCTS TO OUR EMPLOYEES
You said that 570 people work at Multinet Up. The happiness of 570 people is also important. What kind of projects do you yourself carry out here? You have employer branding and employee happiness practices within the organization. Can you talk about them too?
This is our job anyway. As I said, we help companies make their employees happier. Our products and solutions serve in this direction. Actually, we have a very clear cycle, which is this: Happy employees lead to happy customers, and happy customers lead to good financial results. Good financial results again lead to happy customers and therefore happy employees. Therefore, of course, in this cycle, we also use Multinet Up’s products for our own employees and show that we care about them.
Finally, we would like to hear about your evaluation of this year and your goals for the next year.
As Multinet Up, we are closing the year 2024 above our expectations. However, Türkiye is behind Europe in terms of market penetration, and this shows that it has development potential in the field of flexible benefits and meal cards. 2025 will be the year of savings for all of Türkiye. But while saving worker Ignoring happiness will have a very negative impact on business results.
Multinet Up has two main strategies in its long-term plans. Our first strategy is to increase our inclusiveness as a B2B2E platform and bring more products and solutions to our users. Our second main strategy is to be a data-focused company. Being a data-focused company has two main verticals. First, to be an operationally excellent company. This enables us to make the institutions we work for happy. Secondly, we have a very comprehensive data pool. Using this data pool to create focused marketing campaigns that will benefit both employees and our member businesses. We will continue our work within the framework of these two strategies in 2025.
