Mercedes-AMG SL 63: a carbon fiber shooting brake

If the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 is not exclusive enough for you, the German tuner has the solution: far from having simply added extensions or a body kit to the original car, Brabus has in fact produced a completely new bodywork for the star-studded roadster, thus transforming it into an aggressive shooting brake, called Brabus Rocket GTS.
This carbon fiber bodyworklight but resistant, has been optimized in the wind tunnel to perfect its aerodynamic performance, guaranteeing better driving stability, even beyond 300 km/h.
The widened wings allow them to accommodate the new Brabus Monoblock P “Platinum Edition” forged wheels with central nut, specially designed for this 2+2 seat shooting brake. They have a diameter of 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear, and their five-spoke design as well as their carbon aerodynamic discs help cool the brakes while maintaining aerodynamics.

Brabus Rocket GTS: a 1000 horsepower hybrid V8

Inside, as usual, Brabus has equipped the model with specific trim combining the slate gray leather, black Alcantaraas well as carbon fiber inserts, which can also be found on the backlit door sills, the pedals, the steering wheel, the center console and the door handles. The whole contrasts with finishing elements in “Shadow Gray”, and is accompanied by badges specific to Brabus and this “Rocket GTS” edition.
Under the hood, we find the hybrid V8 bi-turbo engine of the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 SE Performance, which now develops a combined power of 1,000 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1.820 Nm. However, the latter is electronically limited to 1,620 Nm, to protect the transmission elements. However, this represents an impressive gain compared to the standard 816 horsepower and 1,420 Nm engine.
0 to 100 km/h is achieved in just 2.6 secondsand the 200 km/h mark is crossed in 9.5 seconds, while that of 300 km/h is reached in 23.6 seconds, all for a maximum speed electronically limited to 317 km/h. A specific exhaust system allows you to optimize these performances while providing a sportier sound.

The German tuner has not specified a price for this Brabus Rocket GTS based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 SE Performance, which we already imagine to be expensive. Brabus, however, specifies, for its interested customers, that it is already available to order in limited edition.
