A very interesting Euroleague derby awaits us!
Due to absence Vanje Marinković, the role of captain Partizan on the field in the “eternal derby” against Red stars an experienced center will take over Brendon Davis.
This match, which is played in the frame 11th round of the Euroleaguehas a special significance for both teams, and Davis pointed out that he is ready to meet the challenge of new responsibilities.
– We worked hard in training. We will enter the fight and try to get the victory – he declared Davis to journalists during preparations in Stark Arena.
Given that for many players this is the first ever “eternal derby,” Davis pointed out that the team well understands the significance of the rivalry.
– A lot of us are familiar with this rivalry, even though it will be our first time playing. We know how much it means to our fans – he added.
As interim captain, Davis referred to the absence Vanje Marinkovićemphasizing his importance for the team, but also the additional motivation provided by his role as a leader.
– It’s always sad when we miss a player, especially a captain like Vanja who brings us a lot. Not only on the field, but also off it. It motivates and obliges me, and I hope that everything will be fine – said Davis.
The meeting between Crvena zvezda and Partizan is scheduled for Thursday at 20:00 at Stark Arena, where the host team will be Crvena zvezda. The atmosphere is already heating up, and a spectacle is expected on the field and stands.
