Biz, Romania’s first business magazine, presented the new edition on Wednesday BrandROthe top of the strongest Romanian brands.

For 15 years, journalists from Biz together with Unlock Market Research analyzes Romanian brands and releases, every autumn, the top of the strongest Romanian brands. BrandRO has established itself as a landmark for all companies operating nationally, but also outside the borders.

Before the presentation of this year’s ranking and the awarding of the first places in each analyzed category, the conference BrandRO brought an applied session with what matters now in branding, what successful companies are doing and what consumers want. Top BrandRO 2024 it was preceded by the disclosure of the study The new wave of BrandROdedicated to “young” Romanian brands, which in recent years have demonstrated their potential to establish themselves in front of consumers.

First place in Top BrandRO 2024 is occupied by two strong Romanian brands: Borsek and eMag.

Metolodogia BrandRO 2024

The BrandRO study measures the strength of Romanian brands from the perspective of the investment of trust and affection given to them by consumers without taking financial and commercial indices into account.

The study is based on 600 online interviews and is representative at the urban level, at the regional level, degree of urbanization, division by sex and age of the population between 18 and 55 years.

The performance of Romanian brands is measured based on three indicators: the importance of the brand, the degree of use and its notoriety. The importance of a brand for the consumer was measured using the MaxDiff (Maximum Differentiation Scaling) methodology and all analyzes were carried out at category level, with a total of 10 product categories.

The respondents made choices between brands, respectively they chose which is the most important and the least important brand for them. They made multiple choices between unique brand combinations. Following these elections, a preference index was calculated for each brand, which was later analyzed together with the importance index of each individual category, thus obtaining the final top.

A brand is all the stronger from the perspective of Romanianism the more it manages to maintain its top position, regardless of the specific socio-economic fluctuations of recent years.
