President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave messages regarding the economy at the Civil Society Organizations and Sector Representatives Meeting in Rize.
Stating that they are aware of the difficulties in the economy, Erdoğan said that they have seen the effects of the Medium Term Program put forward last year.
The President said, “Our Central Bank reserves are increasing more than ever. The risk level is decreasing. We are off the grey list. Even credit rating agencies have started to acknowledge our rights.”
Erdoğan continued his words as follows: “Balancing has gained speed in sectors where price bubbles formed in the last 2 years. We are improving budget balances. The unemployment rate decreased compared to the previous year and stood at 8.4 percent. We will implement our program with determination. Continue to trust in our policies. Do not listen to the doomsayers. Please do not fall for the tricks of those who harbor hostility towards Turkey. Turkey will be a very different country at the end of this process. We have no doubt about that.”
The President added that inflation will start to fall more rapidly from now on.
