KakaoTalk also has errors in some functions
On the 18th, errors occurred on government employment and employment sites, including GoYo24, Worknet, and Employment Insurance, making them inaccessible. In addition, some functions of the messenger app KakaoTalk were disrupted, causing inconvenience to users.
According to the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the government’s employment and employment sites have been inaccessible since around 9:40 a.m. today, with error messages popping up. Sites that are currently in a pilot operation include the integrated employment and employment site ‘Employment 24’ (www.work24.go.kr), the job search and recruitment site ‘Worknet’ (www.work.go.kr), the ‘Employment Insurance’ (www.ei.go.kr) that handles unemployment benefits, and the ‘National Employment Support System’ (www.kua.go.kr) site.
“There was an issue with the equipment in one of the duplicate databases (DB),” a Ministry of Labor official said. “We are currently investigating the cause and are in the process of restoring it. It should be back to normal this afternoon at the earliest.”
Meanwhile, some messenger apps, KakaoTalk, have been experiencing malfunctions since around 11 AM today. Currently, when attempting to log in to the PC version of KakaoTalk, a message appears saying, “Unable to connect to the KakaoTalk login server. The user’s network connection may be unstable, or KakaoTalk may be blocked by a firewall or other environment. If this error repeats, contact your network administrator.”
At around 11:26 AM, Kakao announced through a notice, “Currently, some users, including those using the PC version of KakaoTalk, are having trouble logging into their Kakao accounts,” and “We are conducting an emergency inspection.”
