The Japanese company has been selected to develop a high-performance tire, the Bridgestone Power Sport Atailor-made for the new Audi e-tron GT range, strengthening a long-standing partnership. Today, one in five cars sold by Audi globally is equipped with Bridgestone tires, a testament to the strong bond between the two brands.

Il Power Sport A represents the perfect answer to the philosophy of “pure performance without compromise” that characterizes the Audi e-tron GT. This premium tire has been designed to enhance the dynamic capabilities of the vehicle, while respecting the higher standards of safety and sustainability. Approved worldwide, the Potenza Sport A has passed a series of rigorous tests imposed by Audiproving to be up to the demands of the latest electric models, including the powerful S and RS, ensuring exceptional performance.
Green materials are used
One of the distinctive aspects of the Potenza Sport A is the use of sustainable materials: the tyre in fact incorporates the 55% recycled and renewable materialscertified by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS. This underlines Bridgestone’s commitment to more sustainable mobility, also for high-performance vehicles such as the Audi e-tron GT. Steven De Bock, Vice President Original Equipment at Bridgestone EMEA, highlighted how this tyre represents a fundamental step in the transition to a new generation of electric vehicles, further strengthening the partnership with Audi.
The Potenza Sport A doesn’t just deliver high performance; it also offers outstanding energy efficiency. With an EU label A-rated rolling resistance, the tire helps boost battery range, which is key to the Audi e-tron GT’s 500 km range. In addition, its A-rated wet grip ensures optimum control and precise steering response, which are crucial for dynamic driving.
The innovative tread design, advanced reinforcement technology and carcass specifically designed for the e-tron GT are all features that make the Potenza Sport A a one-of-a-kind product. Robin Stettner, engineer responsible for tire development for AUDI AG, praised the tire, calling it perfect for the high performance of the RS e-tron GTThat can reach up to 925 hp.
In addition to performance, Bridgestone placed a strong emphasis on sustainability when developing the Potenza Sport A. Using the ENLITEN technologyhas managed to improve the sustainability of the tyre without compromising its performance or safety, reducing the environmental impact through a decrease in CO2 emissions and a more efficient use of resources.
The Potenza Sport A is a symbol of Bridgestone’s ongoing commitment to its goal of using only sustainable materials by 2050. Developed at the centre of Bridgestone Research and Development and produced at the Roma Plant in ItaliaISCC PLUS certified, this tire is available in sizes 265/35 R21 101XL Y for the front axle and 305/30 R21 104XL Y for the rear axle. The production process is powered by 100% renewable electricity, in line with Bridgestone’s sustainability ambitions.
