British car camera manufacturer Nextbase launches a new Piqo model. It is the smallest car camera in the manufacturer’s portfolio, which also comes in two variants.
The Piqo 1K (Full UWHD/1080p) and Piqo Pro 2K (Quad HD/1440p) models are sold at a price of CZK 2,990 and CZK 3,590, respectively, and the manufacturer promises excellent image quality and a number of functions that increase the safety of drivers for both variants. Key features include the Emergency SOS function, which automatically informs emergency services of the location and other important data in the event of a serious accident.
The new Piqo model also brings technologies first introduced in the Nextbase iQ smart camera, including Guardian Lite and Witness Mode Lite. Guardian Lite mode tracks the vehicle’s movement while someone else is driving it and automatically saves video if it exceeds the speed limit or leaves a set area. Witness Mode Lite allows voice-activated sharing of footage in the event of an accident with a designated emergency contact when the camera is connected to Bluetooth.
These services are included in the basic service package for free, users can also pay an additional 75 crowns per month or 750 crowns per year for Emergency SOS, cloud storage and a 36-month warranty.
