British public appalled at cost of coronation

Royal luxury or extravagance? A reprehensible extravagance. A royal crown or a taxpayer coup? Coronation or crisis? Royal coronation tax: Is luxury worth the sacrifice? British taxpayers have been asking themselves all these questions since Saturday, as official information came to light that last year’s coronation of the king Karla III. cost 72 million pounds, which is about 87 million euros.

Critics warn
