British research reveals that a third of drivers changed cars because of envy

More than a third of British car owners have decided to change their car after envying someone else’s vehicle, new research has claimed.

A new survey conducted by him Carwow reveals that 35 percent of car owners admit they bought a new car because they liked someone else’s car better than their own. Also, 70 percent of the owners admitted that they feel envy because of another car, and more than half said that they felt this envy on numerous occasions, reports Jutarnji.hr.

The study was conducted with 2,000 car owners and showed that for British drivers a vehicle is an expression of confidence, personality, purpose and success in life.

As for drivers considering changing cars before a major life change (starting a family, having children, changing jobs, moving), 45 percent of respondents said it would help them feel more successful and more confident.

Also, almost four out of ten car owners admit that changing their current car would ‘help them get more out of life’.

Related to this, last month This is Money has revealed which car brands UK drivers like best, with 90,000 drivers giving their opinion on how satisfied they are with the brand of vehicle they drive.

He conducted a survey among British drivers Auto Expressand respondents were asked to rate their level of satisfaction in 36 different attributes for cars up to three years old. Car owners were asked to rate their vehicle’s drivetrain, appearance, interior quality and how practical the car is, how it drives, safety, reliability and many other categories.

These scores are then added up to get a total score of up to 100.

Land Rover won 10th place with a score of 87.63 percent, while its sister brand Jaguar is in 9th place with 87.72 percent. The more affordable Toyota, Mazda, Peugeot and Citroen made up the middle with 87.84 percent, 88.01 percent, 88.03 percent and 88.22 percent, respectively.
